A Systematic Efficiency
Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed organization and streamlining. In any group of people whether classmates or coworkers, I first identify how each person contributes in the greater machine. He is a motor that gets everyone else moving. She is the gears that keeps everyone in sync. He is the nuts and bolts keeping everyone locked in. My goal was to always be the oil. I wanted to see the big picture and to fill in any and all gaps. I wanted to keep the machine running smoothly and help iron out friction between units. Only when the whole machine whirred without hitch, was I satisfied.
As an adult, I put this ideology into practice on much larger scales. In the military I use it to organize my team into successfully completing our missions. As an entrepreneur, I use this method to put together a team of people that will achieve sustainable, responsible independence. Like everything else I do, I begin with a plan.
Financial Independence- Passive income created from commercial and rental investment properties will provide the foundation for the other developments. By operating multiple affordable rental units, I can maintain affordable living for tenants while still having the capital to bring new developments to the table.
Housing Security- After I have secured a sustainable yet honest income, I will build my home through environmentally friendly, alternative construction that is both spatially efficient and built to endure. The tire-built design will reduce my upfront material costs as well as the long term expenses that come with owning a home. This allows me to keep my rental costs low.
Energy Efficiency- With the structure complete, I will install solar panels and wind turbines to harness renewable energy to power the home. I will use solar water heaters to heat both the usable water and the home itself. These efforts keep a lower annual expense and allow me to live on less income.
Water Independence- The use of rainwater collection provides water for the home and a natural filtration system will clean the impurities from the water without adding chemicals or expense.
Waste Management- Grey water will be fed through passive drainage into the edible garden beds and orchards. Black water will be composted through humanure methods and returned to the soil. This completes the nutrient cycle freeing me from the need for fertilizer. Compost and humanure revitalize the soil for free.
Food Security- Through food forests, permaculture design methods focusing on water and soil efficiency and the use of local and climate specific plants, we will grow organic produce. Nuts, seeds, and other perennials will be the focal point to maintain sustainability.
Fuel- Methane gas acquired from the decomposition process will be captured and directed to the stove to provide free fuel and environmental responsibility.
Small Business Management- Passive income will be used to purchase existing businesses, and start new businesses. I will create one umbrella company that will streamline all pay, hiring, management, and marketing for all companies. I will have on site managers who will fine tune the companies to emphasize productivity and service. Managers will be paid in percentage of profits rather than salary so they are motivated to make the company as effective as possible without outside intervention.
Education Opportunities- I will provide internships and apprenticeships to youth and teens to teach them more independent, sustainable, and responsible ways of life. Not only can they learn the investing and farming from me personally, they can also apprentice at any of the businesses I will own. I will provide scholarships to those interested in trade schools as well as start up funds and guidance for those young entrepreneurs interested in starting their own companies.
Knowledge Sustainability- I will pass down all my knowledge in business, investments, environmental practices, alternative home construction methods, water and waste management practices, and sustainable organic farming. I will teach classes and assist though internships, apprenticeships, WOOF, and reach outs to local schools.
Thank you for visiting. Glad to have you here.
